Yes! The Double Dog Dare for unpublished authors to read their work for a local publishing house! I did the Victoria Stop, and they're coming to Van next (in Jan). We don't have a location yet, but you should definitely go to and read!! <3 I already told them I was going to try and get you to go~

Is it like a public reading? I'd love to get some exposure for my stuff, but I am rubbish at doing actual readings. Last time I tried was a disaster, anyway.

It is, but it's for other authors and publishers primarily. And you need to get better, if that's the case. To be fair, if you lose the nerve to get up and read, you should still attend, listen to the other readings and then talk to the publishers. <3
